New Editor-in-Chief for the European Journal of Histochemistry
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Prof. Marco Biggiogera as the new Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Histochemistry, effective 15 January 2026.
Prof. Biggiogera has a solid academic background, with a long-standing record of research and teaching activities at the University of Pavia, Italy. He has authored numerous publications in high-impact international journals and has made significant contributions to the study of RNA transcription and modification in a variety of tissues and cellular models, through the application of cytochemical techniques to electron microscopy.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Carlo Pellicciari, who has served as Editor-in-Chief for many years. Through his authoritative leadership, scientific vision, and unwavering commitment, Prof. Pellicciari has played a pivotal role in the growth, consolidation, and international reputation of the European Journal of Histochemistry, leaving a lasting legacy within the academic community.
